The 80th edition of the Festival de Cannes will take place from 11 to 22 May 2027, and this anniversary edition promises to be a particularly meaningful occasion to introduce a new generation of film students to the history, heritage and contemporary life of cinema.
For more than twenty years, Cannes Classics has been part of the Festival’s Official Selection. It celebrates cinema’s extraordinary heritage with newly restored films, both beloved masterpieces and lesser-known discoveries, alongside documentaries exploring film history. What makes these screenings especially memorable is the chance to hear from the filmmakers, actors, producers, restorers, historians and other passionate people who keep these films alive.
